Our client is a global leader in payments technology and transaction processing. The company has earned the status of being a payments systems leader through a combination of established portfolio of technology solutions, state-of-the-art infrastructure and 25 years of experience in the payments domain. Headquartered in India, they have established a global footprint in Africa, Australia, Canada, Europe, Middle East, Singapore and the United States of America.
They are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join their team in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.
Masters/Bachelor\'s Degree
Very strong Oral and Written communication skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders at various levels.
Experience in the payments domain will be an advantage.

Management Experience:
Must have managed complete SDLC life cycle for 2 or more projects with the minimum team size of 5.
Must possess working knowledge of one or more traditional and iterative project management methodologies.
Must have prior experience of working with multicultural and globally distributed high performing teams.
Management experience with Projects that interact with legacy and other external systems would be an added advantage.
Exposure to Customer interaction and Customer Management in various geographical areas would be an added advantage.
PMP certification would be an added advantage.
Prior experience in managing projects in banking/financial/payments domain would be an added advantage.

Technical Experience:
Possess working knowledge of Java 1.6, J2EE, Struts/Spring framework, Web technologies, Webservices and at least 1 RDBMS (Oracle or MS-SQL).
Must have prior hands on development and technical review experience.
Must have experience in Project Management/Planning/Tracking Tools e.g. MS-Project, etc.

Job Description/Responsibilities/Role:
Take full ownership of the assigned project or other activities and be responsible for the successful completion of the same.
Provide technical leadership in project including design review.
Take initiative to expand the knowledge on the product, market and hence improve overall effectiveness of the project.
Liaise with all stakeholders and departments to mobilize and manage all resources needed for the successful delivery of the project.
Monitor and report status to all the stake holders within the agreed timeframe.
Handle people management responsibilities.
Responsible for motivating, mentoring, retention, performance management and career growth of team members.
Proactively participate in departmental activities and contribute towards departmental and organizations growth.
Take initiatives to increase the overall knowledge base within the project and at the department level. Drive various Knowledge management and mentoring initiatives.
Must be proactive with extremely good analytical skills.
Must have good time management and multitasking capabilities.
